For a dining room arrangement, I bought 2 extra wide trestle legs, 2 400mm bench legs for a tuck-under bench seat, and an 800mm+ pair of C-channels.
The table top will be jointed African Paduak. Paduak is a very stable wood but, to be belt & braces sure, I want to use the C-channel to keep the top flat. The C-channels look strong and stout, so I'm pleased with that.
The table trestles are very heavy duty and I need that because the finished table top will weigh a bit more than 60kg. The powder coat looks sound, and has a nice textured finish. The hangers for a stringer are an excellent addition for me to keep the whole table rigid.
The bench seat trestles look good, and the size of them is fine. The one thing that would have made these parts the perfect setup for me would have been if the bench trestle had the same finish as the big table trestle. I mentioned that the table trestle are finished in a textured powder coat. The bench trestle have a flat smooth finish. To be honest though, they're both black, and both under the table so it's difficult to see that there's a difference.
Overall, I'm delighted with what I bought.
The attached photo shows a temporary setup with an old workbench for a tabletop, but you get the idea.
